2009 Poquito Landscape Page Springs Estate Vineyard

In 2009 we got hit with a late spring frost from cold air that drained down our driveway right through the Estate Syrah and Petite blocks. Left with only about one ton of fruit, we vinified one barrel of Petite and two barrels of Syrah. Although this wine is a bit lighter and more feminine than our 2007 Landscape, all of the same wonderful characters are there. A silky and balanced palate is graced with flavors and aromatics of leafy green tobacco, dark cherries, orange rind and hints of roses and bramble. This “smaller” Landscape is a classic expression of our Page Springs Vineyard.
