2009 Petite Sirah Ranchita Canyon Vineyard

2009 saw us rushing out to Paso Robles to pick this Petite as another heat wave (2008 had one in early September as well…) quickly ripened the fruit. We managed to get the grapes off before any dehydration occurred and crafted a wine that is big and ripe. The majority of the barrels made went into our Vino de la Familia, with only four being held back to make this tasty blend. Rich, dark and almost dessert-like, the RCV Petite is not a wine to be trifled with. It should stand up well to rich, strong BBQ or even a quality cigar!
