2010 La Serrana
For some time I have been wanting to work the La Serrana, which has been a single varietal until now, into a more classic blend. The Viognier has come from our Stronghold Vineyard in Kansas Settlement and the Roussanne from Colibri Vineyards to the east, just on the other side of the Chiricahua Mountains. The classic white flower petals, lemon zest and blanched almonds of the Viognier are beautifully accented by hints of Asian pear and white peach from the Roussanne all of which are held up by brisk acidity.
