Once or twice a year, I have an absolute epiphany. One of the most important of my short career came at the hands of this Arizona Mourvedre. Every time I taste this wine, it leaps out at me as the embodiment of what I love about wine. It isn’t perfect, but it’s complex, provocative and multi-faceted: fruit, acidity, spice, fine tannins, earth, animal, femininity, subtlety, and nuance.
