06 Wirz Vineyard Cab Pfeffer
Developed by George Pfeffer in the Los Altos Hills (just north of San Jose) of California in the late 1800′s, the unique Cabernet Pfeffer grape continues to create a phenomenal wine. Only George knows whether the grape’s namesake was an intentional double entendre or not, but the peppery spice of this delicious 2006 is as strong as ever. This two-barrel bottling shows extraordinary balance with enough fruit to hold up to the spice.
