This is why we love Pinot. The 2005 Rio San Lucas Pinot Noir is a very classic take, similar to our 2003 release. A delicate, yet complex Pinot, this wine is more Burgundian or Oregonian than Californian. The trademark clean, vivid cherries, grapefruit, tobacco, fig and anise are supported by leather, vanilla and the unforgettable Rio San Lucas spice with a baking chocolate texture. This seductive Pinot has the crisp acidity and soft, but numerous tannins that should allow it to cellar for several years. This is a special treat from a special place.
