This limited production wine is for lovers of traditional Italian Sangiovese. Only through arduous negotiations (blackmail) with a custom crush client were we able to preserve a single barrel of this pure expression of quality Sangiovese fruit. The nose has a bright cherry/raspberry notes with a hint of old-world spice and tobacco. On the palate, this wine is light to medium-bodied, with red and black cherry fruit, perfectly balanced acid and light tannins. Definitely a food wine. It makes your mouth water for a plate of cheese-covered pasta.
