Unlike most Zinfandels, this one is not all about jamminess and a fat palate. With the nice, focused red fruit and the silky texture so expressive of Lakeview Vineyard, this Zin is elegant and balanced. It is the perfect wine for the transition from summer to autumn. While it is light, fruity and refreshing for the final weeks of hot weather, it also has characters of fallen leaves, earth and spice indicative of the fall to come.
